About Jamey Hinman
I am a multi-disciplinary therapist specializing in individual and couples therapy services who is currently operating out of a private practice in New Braunfels, TX. I earned my B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M and have been practicing since 2016.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) who has worked in multiple settings including private practice, outpatient, and residential capacities. I'm also certified as an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, an evidence-based psychotherapy modality considered to be especially effective for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I believe recovery and growth is a deeply personal and individualized experience. I feel privileged being a part of each clients journey. A voyage in empathy, compassion, self-worth, vulnerability, and relationships with yourself and others are areas which I can help you with on your journey to healing, growing, and excelling.
In my spare time I enjoy fostering for the Humane Society, working as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children who have been removed from their home, and volunteering for Spay Neuter Inject Protect of San Antonio (SNIPSA).
